Appleton Estate 30-Year-Old Jamaica Rum

Appleton Estate 30 Year Old Jamaica Rum
Appleton Estate has been in the rum making business for 260 years but this limited edition 30-year-old rum is the oldest they have ever produced. This is because the evaporation rate is high in the Caribbean so there is a careful balance between the rate of evaporation and maintaining the distillate’s alcohol strength. The heavily charred 40-gallon whiskey barrels come from the Jack Daniel’s distillery in Tennessee which is how this rum gets its smokey flavor. This full-bodied rum has a thick bouquet of fragrances including baked pears, orange peel, ginger, and maple. The herbaceous undertones are molasses and traces of smokey vanilla. Only 744 bottles will be released in the USA and with each bottle comes a numbered certificate of authenticity. $400.

We hope you enjoyed this Appleton Estate 30-Year-Old Jamaica Rum article!
