No other plane flew higher or faster, under its own power, than the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird. It’s a design that’s way ahead of its time, and it was manufactured before the Internet was even a thing. Bell & Ross pays homage to that magnificent bird with the BR 126 Blackbird. Coming in an all black, 43mm PVD case, the watch looks like the ‘steam gauges’ in aircraft cockpits. The three counter chronograph has a flyback function with a date complication. The flying Blackbird is powered by a Pratt & Whitney J58 jet engine while the BR 126 Blackbird, is animated by an ETA 2892 self-winding mechanical movement. It comes with a heavy-duty canvas strap plus a black rubber version as well. Only 500 samples will be made. ~$6,700.
