BERO Smartphone Robot

The kid inside compels us to like robots and stuff like that. Motorized things filled our fantasies since we were young, tinkering with machines and at this day and age, tinkering just got a lot smarter. Welcome the BERO, the cutesy name for Be The Robot. Modeled after the Google Bug Droid, the four-inch robot has mini-motors and electronics that are fully controllable via an Open Source app, communicating from your device through Bluetooth. The Kickstarter project has exactly 31 days to go for funding, so for true robotics fans, as they say, it’s crunch time. $35+.
