Canton Ginger & Cognac Liqueur, Domaine de CantonThe history behind this Asian fusion drink is pretty cool. Domaine de Canton originally started in French Indochina aka Indochine (present day Vietnam).

It blends baby ginger roots with VSOP Cognac to make a sweet liqueur fit for French colonials and present-day yuppies alike. It was recently reintroduced in New York and it’s hitting stores across the country soon. $30.


Strawberry-Ginger Martini
2 shots of Domaine de Canton
1 shot of gin (Bombay Sapphire)
3 medium sized, or 2 large, strawberries (muddled)
1/4 Squeeze of lime
Crush/Muddle strawberries
Add lime
Pour in Gin & Domaine de Canton
Shake
Serve in chilled martini glass

Canton Caipirinha
2 oz. Domaine de Canton
2 oz. Cabana Cachaça
2 lime wedges
Top with club soda

Shake Domaine de Canton and Cabana Cachaça with ice & strain into ice-filled glass. Squeeze lime wedges into glass & add wedges to drink. Top with soda & stir.
