Many of today’s youth will never get to see or hear a song played on a cassette tape. So what do you do with those obsolete audio media? Turn them into a lamp of course. Transparent House, Inc. took 100 micro-cassettes and arranged them on a laser-cut Plexiglass frame. They then added a 40-watt bulb in the middle and you now have a retro-inspired decor. As for the price, it’s a bit steep but it’s another way of separating you from the clueless youth who don’t know what a cassette tape is — you have the money for this. $1,200.
