The Dallas Stars may not be considered as the most popular hockey team in the NHL, but their practice jersey for St. Patrick’s Day sure was the best. Instead of the usual family name at the back, they’ve replaced it with more ‘Irish-sounding’ names. Something like O’Hammer (for Sheldon Souray) or McRibs, which is very creative in my opinion, for Mike Ribeiro. But nothing could be more in the spirit than Eric Nystrom’s jersey that reads Guinness. Don’t ask us though how they arrived with that. The jerseys are up for auction now and all proceeds will go to the Dallas Stars Foundation. $150.
