Dell Inspiron 1525 Notebook Review

Dell Inspiron 1525 Notebook Review

After the sudden crash of my HP DV6000, 2 weeks after the warranty ran out, I started shopping around for new notebooks. I immediately ruled out HP and after a little research I settled on the Dell Inspiron 1525. My model came loaded with 3 GB of Ram, a 250 GB hard drive and a 15.4″ screen. With more USB ports than I know what to do with, a firewire slot, an 8-in-1 memory reader and a dual-layer DVD burner, this is a true multimedia notebook. A built in webcam is certainly a nice touch, but is no deal breaker either way. The keys are large and easy to use, and there are multimedia buttons for controlling your media players at the top. As far as negatives, the screen is a little hard to see in bright daylight, and the touchpad does not always pick up every movement exactly, but those are minor complaints. This is a good notebook at a surprisingly good price. $700.
