The Brabus Viano ‘Lounge Concept’ will make any typical road trip one of luxury. Forget trying to retrofit the family minivan with televisions and a PS2 gaming system, instead go in style and lap up all of these fabulous amenities. The ‘basics’ include fully reclining leather seats, bamboo trim, a Dolby Surround sound system and a Nespresso coffee maker. But then, you get a 32-inch LCD display, Sony Vaio laptops, a Vertu Constellation cellphone and PS3 gaming system. Hold your horses; it’s a concept for now, but these days technology-driven ideas come to fruition faster than you can finish a round of Wii Fit. $TBA.

Devon Motorworks is a Los Angeles-based upstart sports-car maker that set out to create a dramatic two-seater that is all-American in terms of shape and performance. It’s a lightweight coupe with a single-piece carbon fiber composite superstructure with gull-wing-style doors. The seats are leather-trimmed carbon fiber racing seats with five-point racing harnesses and instead of analog gauges it has a high-resolution liquid-crystal display. It has a powerful 10-cylinder engine with race-ready suspension and 650 horsepower. The GTX coupe will be out for sale in early 2010. $500,000.

It features a gas-electric system comprised of twin motors and a twin-turbo 4.4L V8 all paired to a seven-speed dual mode transmission, which is good for a 5.4 second time from 0-60 with a top speed of 130 mph. It also features BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system, sensotronic brake actuation, dynamic traction control, 20-inch light-alloy Aero wheels, BMW Assist with GPS and Bluetooth, and much more. $TBA.
