2010 Porsche 911 Turbo

2010 Porsche 911 Turbo
Porsche once again displays their technological prowess with the release of the 2010 version of the 911 Turbo (or 997 in North America). For the same engine speed, the new 911 now delivers 500 hp and more torque than the car that came before it. Just how Porsche does it is still a mystery, but they’re willing to say that the twin turbos with Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) on the 6-cylinder boxer engine is the key to more power. But the additional pull doesn’t make the car less efficient, as the variable valve timing system makes the engine more fuel efficient and has 18% less emission. More power and better fuel efficiency with a smaller carbon footprint, Porsche definitely makes a great statement with their new car, albeit the same 911 shape. ~$168,000.

Victory Cross Country Motorcycle

Long motorcycle rides are fun. Sore backs and a numb rear end aren’t. Victory Motorcycles address this issue with their 2010 lineup of touring bikes. This version, the Cross Country, offers great power, light weight, and more importantly, a comfortable ride for those long journeys. The Freedom engine offers 92 hp and 109 lb-ft of torque for quick accelerations and hauling power. A class-leading 4.7″ of travel from the suspension absorbs the impact so you and your passenger enjoy a smooth ride. There’s 21 gallons of cargo space, an integrated audio system (with iPod support), and an automatic cruise control to further enhance the riding pleasure. $20,000.
