One man’s skateboard structural failure is now immortalized into another man’s stylish stool. Two brothers came up with the idea of converting busted decks into seats when they noticed that most skateboards are sometimes cut over the trucks and sometimes halved. Most people will just discard the decks but the brothers decide to fashion a seat out of those materials. The artsy bottom of the deck is where you’d sit, keeping your nether regions away from the sandy part of the skateboard. Clever and eco-friendly, the Deckstools have sold out and will start shipping again by mid-May. But if you have a few decks needing a better way to go, Deckstools will happily convert them for a fee. $150.
