The Worksman Bike is a good old-fashioned bicycle. In 1898 it was originally built and used in New York as a delivery bicycle and then in the 1950s it was officially used to deliver Good Humor Bars. It’s a classic no frills bicycle with sturdy construction including a fully-lugged steel frame with front fork, a coaster brake, heavy-duty rims, upright handle bards, a rear cargo rack, padded hand grips and a very comfortable and ergonomic seat. The red and white rimmed tires alone make this bike well worth the price tag. $695.

Wii Cyberbike

The Cyberbike is being developed by European publisher Bigben Interactive and comes bundled with some sort of lame treehugger game that requires you clean up the planet with the power of your eco-calves (don’t worry, it also works with Mario Kart). The bike is slated for a January release in Europe, but pricing details have not been announced. Granted, it will most likely be cheaper than purchasing an actual exercise bike, but I can’t imagine that some plastic, boxed Wii accessory will be able to handle the beating. Even professional stationary bikes break down on a fairly regular basis. $TBA.

District Carbon Bike

If you’re tired of greasing your pants after a nice bike ride, then maybe you should switch to a neater way to drive those bike wheels. Something like the District Carbon bike from Trek which uses a belt drive instead of a chain. The bike’s frame is made of Optimum Compaction, Low Void (OCLV) carbon fiber which is ultra-light yet ultra-strong. The sprockets too are made of carbon while the pedals are made of an alloy to further shave weight. All these come at a price though, but who can argue with the beauty of carbon fiber on a ride that’s this much fun? $3,360.

Companies creating products that aren’t what they are known for is a common thing right now, so might as well welcome them open arms. Another company to do this feat is Urban Outfitters. The clothing company just opened their online bike shop and are selling, you guessed it, bikes. Teaming up with Republic Bike, they are now building custom single speed fixed gear bicycles that come in sizes 52cm, 54cm, and 59cm. And when they say “custom”, they really mean it. You can personalize your bike from choosing colors for different parts. What’s next, guys? Cars? $400.
