On Running Shoes

After the holidays, people will start flocking back to gyms and start their workouts/exercises to shed some of the calories gained. One popular form of exercise is running. However, running places the highest impact on your body and injuries can result. A Swiss engineer then thought of a way to lessen the chances of injury by developing the On Running Shoe. The solution is an array of hollowed circular pieces of rubber underlining the shoe to absorb the impact and release energy for the push-off via the interlocking pieces. The final design will be unveiled in Munich on February 2010. ~$150.
