Last year, the Android phone started to try and make it’s mark on the cellphone world. Would their new dabble finally be the “one”? HTC Hero is looking pretty good based on these images, but the third HTC/Android phone is also boasting of a new Android UI called Sense. The 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel autofocus camera, GPS and 512 MB of internal memory also sweetens the deal. No word yet on the pricing and availability, but expect it to hit the stores soon.

The phone obtains a better instant messaging feature, GPS, compass, and active noise cancellation. Maintaining the E71 looks, the upgraded phone is now tagged as the E72. $490.
