Nikon D3X: New Shooter on the Block


Just as predicted, Nikon follows up on the success of the powerful D3 by releasing the “x” version with the new D3X. As for the extra prefix, the new digital SLR camera boasts a higher resolution, bumping it to 24.5 megapixel on a new 35.9×24 mm sensor for studio work that demands greater amount of detail. ISO range from 50-6400 for a wide range of lighting conditions. Because of the increase in MP count, the burst shooting speed of this baby is now at 5 fps at full FX (Nikon’s full frame) format. The camera also has a 51-point AF system for a more accurate auto focus. $8,000.
