Like the flexibility and functionality of a digital SLR camera but hate the bulk? No worries, you can put your creativity to the test with the Olympus E-P1. Inspired by the 60’s half-frame pen camera, this new version from Olympus is about as big as digital point-and-shoots but have an interchangeable lens system so you can use specialized lenses for what the situation calls for. The E-P1 has a 12.3 megapixel Four Thirds sensor that Olympus uses for their E-series DSLRs. This sensor is smaller than those in other DSLRs but considerably bigger than point-and-shoots, so you’ll have more image capturing real estate inside the camera. Though it has no viewfinder or flash, it comes with a hotshoe, so those accessories can be bought separately. Not only does this camera shoot still images, it can also capture 720p HD videos at 30fps. $750+.
