Updating their ‘go-between’ camera is Panasonic with the new LUMIX DMC-G6. The company calls it Digital Single Lens Mirrorless (DSLM) and it promises to capture all your photo and video needs in full detail with less noise. This is done through the new 16MP Digital Live MOS sensor coupled with the new Venus Engine. Serving as its eyes is the 14-42mm lens which can be replaced with other models should you need more range. Capturing full HD videos is no problem as well, and everything is displayed through the vari-angle 3″ LCD. It’s also compatible with Wi-Fi and NFC for sharing files instantly. But the connectivity goes beyond that because the downloadable app allows you to control the camera’s shutter and aperture functions through your smartphone or tablet. Available in June. $TBD.
