Panasonic Lumix LX7

Camera manufacturers are finally understanding the fact that more megapixels are good but faster lenses are way, way better. Panasonic follows suit with the latest Lumix LX7, featuring an f/1.4-2.3 aperture lens from Leica. This makes it faster than the Samsung EX2F’s lens opening at f/1.4-2.7. In street speak, this just means that the Lumix LX7 can gather more light, even at the longest opening of 90mm. Translating the image is a high-sensitivity, 10.1MP CMOS sensor offering multiple aspect ratios. As with other compact cameras, this one shoots Full HD videos. $TBA.
