Pobeda Atomic Age Lunokhod

Unlike the late, great Neil Armstrong and his posse of moon walkers, the Russians never really got the chance to plant their footprints on the Earth’s lone natural satellite. But it doesn’t mean that they didn’t try. On those days when they were planning extra-terrestrial missions, they monitored the time using one of these. Made by Pobeda, the ‘Lunokhod’, is a mechanical, hand-wound watch that’s as historical as it is gorgeous. Only a photo of Comrade Khrushchev would make it more Russian, though the former Soviet Union’s influence on the watch is plain to see. $70.
