Slide rules are incredibly important for pilots and engineers alike. But when was the last time you’ve used that? Everything’s in your smartphone right now anyway. Still, when electronics go awry, it’s always good to know that you can count on things to be there at your disposal. The Seiko SRP347 is a great example. The automatic watch features a slide rule on the bezel for those all-important calculations on the fly. It features a Japanese version of the Calibre 4R36 movement with 24 jewels. The dial is incredibly simple, with 24-hour markings, very visible hour and minute hands and a hackable seconds hand. Everything’s housed in a rugged, 44mm stainless steel case with an exhibition caseback to let you marvel at the mechanisms of the watch. $130.
