After accepting the fact that 3D is here to stay, you can now make intelligent choices for a camera that supports it. Sony is broadening your horizon with the release of the WX5 and TX9 Cyber-shot cameras. It takes 15 shots at different angles to give a 3D composite image. View it on a supporting computer or TV and you’ve got a whole new dimension in photography. The cameras can even combine several shots to give a ‘DSLR-like’ quality on the resulting photo. Both carry a 12.2 megapixel CMOS sensor and both can shoot 1080p videos. The difference is in the lens where the WX5 has the advantage in reach (5x vs. 4x on the TX9) and maximum aperture at f/2.8. $300+.
