Sony Cyber-shot RX1

Small car plus big engine equals mighty fast ride. That logic worked with automobiles through the years and that’s a good analogy for the Sony Cyber-shot RX1. It’s shell is small, looking a lot like the point-and-shoots we’re all familiar with. Hiding inside though, is a massive Exmor CMOS sensor, a full-frame variety like the one found in the Alpha A99, with a 24.3MP resolution and the ability to go from ISO 100-25600 with ease. Match that with a 35mm f/2.0 Carl Zeiss lens with full manual controls and you’ve got yourself a pretty decent SLR competitor. Trouble is, the lens isn’t removable, limiting your options. For travel and for everyday photography however, this one’s more than worthy. $2,800.
