Sony Cybershot TX200V

Rugged cameras are normally bulky and boxy, not this svelte and simple. But Sony does camera styling a favor with the new Cybershot TX200V. Fully waterproof and dust-proof, the new point-and-shoot is just 16mm thick, or around 21/32nd of an inch in English terms. It sports an 18.2 megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor with a Carl Zeiss lens zooming in at 28-140mm (35mm equivalent). Moving pictures are also captured, at Full HD 1080/60p with a high-speed AF. Typical instant camera bells and whistles are to be expected from the new camera, justifying the rather hefty price tag. $500.
