The Matrix trilogy is being released on Blu-Ray in Japan, and to celebrate this event, we are getting a monstrosity of a package. The whole set includes all 3 Matrix movies plus The Animatrix on Blu-Ray, plus 3 standard definition, making-of movies. All 7 discs can then be stored inside of a 2 foot model of the Nebuchadnezzar. Expect a limited release for this one. $375.

This is the 3rd Version of Sony’s internal Blu-ray disc writer, at an affordable price. The model is called the BWU-300S and it will allow you to back up any of your current Blu-ray discs, or create data discs with massive storage space. Every writer comes with a copy of Men in Black on Blu-ray. $400.

OK folks, I will personally testify to this one. I own both Planet Earth and Galapagos on Blu-ray and breathtaking is such an understatement that I should be lambasted for it, but for lack of a better word, it’s breathtakingly awesome. The new BBC HD Natural History Collection not only shows of the entire planet in Planet Earth, the amazing Galapagos Islands in Galapagos, but it also covers China, and the Ganges River in India. Wild China has an entire chapter on pandas, and who the hell doesn’t love pandas? Ganges covers the life giving and life taking river in India, and if you’ve ever seen the gharial (narrow snout crocodile) that alone justifies watching that series. Watching nature documentaries in High-Def nearly puts any Blu-ray Hollywood movie to shame. Just see for yourself. $125.

Here’s a great Blu-ray player by LG called the LG BD300 Network Blu-ray Disc Player. This player allows you to stream select movies from Netflix directly to the box for free! It also enables you to watch HD video, upconvert standard DVD video to 1080p, and watch interactive BD Live content at the same time you play as Blu-ray disc. You can get your own this Fall.

We gotta say National Treasure 2 was better than the first movie, minus all the extra patriotic presidential crap. But, conspiracy treasure movies are pretty cool. You can get both in HD, so that’s cool. It’s only a little more expensive than buying one movie individually. $40.

This is bound to be awesome in high-def, too bad it’s animated because we would love to see Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman (she’s still hot).
