Starting the new lineup is the A230 with the 10.2 megapixel sensor and weighs just a hair under 16 ounces so as not to scare the shifters from point-and-shoots. Both the A330 and A380 on the other hand have larger sensors, but every one of these new bodies come with the SteadyShot image stabilization feature. This means that you won’t need to spend a fortune on image-stabilized, hard-to-find Sony lenses. Good news too for SD/SDHC owners, you could use those for the Sony Alpha instead of the proprietary Memory Stick. $550+.
