Based on the Superbike championship-winning 1198 Testastretta engine, the bike’s setup can be varied on the fly with a touch of a button. Sport mode gives you a stiffer chassis for more feel and full use of the 150 hp engine power. The Touring mode gives you a more comfortable ride for longer distances. The Urban setting cuts the power to 100 hp and sets the bike’s ABS and traction control for a safer city ride. But if you want to go off-road, the Enduro mode gives a suspension setup that’s capable of absorbing the bumps of uneven terrain. So how about that? Four bikes in one go! $TBD.

The sleek and sexy Hypermotard 796 is the perfect mix of performance and urban utility. The new Ducati 796 engine has 81hp, great fuel mileage and an APTC “wet” clutch offering a slipper action to prevent rear-end destabilization during agressive down-shifting. The Hypermotard 796 comes in either a matte black, matte white, or Ducati red finish. $TBA.

America and Italy’s history has been intertwined for so long that each other’s cultures have been infused into each other. This example of American-Italian collaboration is bred on speed. Ducati co-celebrates America’s Independence with the launch of the 848 Nicky Hayden special edition bike. Unveiled at the Laguna Seca Raceway, the bike features an all-American livery. The 848 will be powered by a liquid-cooled, L-Twin Desmodronic engine pumping out 134 hp. For the first time ever, the engine features a vacuum die-cast formed crankcases with a reduced weight, consistent thickness, and improved strength. The gas tanks of this special edition will feature Nicky “The Kentucky Kid” Hayden’s signature. $14,500.

Ducati continues its tradition to bring us jaw-dropping bikes. This new naked performance bike, which Ducati has unveiled in Milan, is called the Streetfighter. This sexy, 1099cc V-Twin beauty boasts a 155 horsepower and 87.5 lb-ft of torque. There will also be an “S Series” of these babies that will have Öhlins suspension upgrades, with Marchesini forged aluminum wheels; bronze painted frame and carbon fiber bits and pieces. We don’t recommend riding your Ducati without a helmet, but if you were looking for the X-Men Cyclops look and love racing bikes these would be great for you. Nothing says cool like Oakley and Ducati; just make sure you can pull these off, Slick. $140.
