If you really want to see what our grandfathers/fathers experienced, pick up The War – A Film By Ken Burns and Lynn Novick. Many of us had grandparents involved in one way or another during World War II, so here’s an opportunity to see a bit of our heritage.
It’s like Band of Brothers or Saving Private Ryan except real and a lot more comprehensive. If you’ve seen Ken Burn’s ‘The Civil War’ you’ll know how powerful and in depth his documentary making skills really are. $85.
