Toshiba NB205 Netbook: Small With Stamina
Netbooks are all fun and handy until you run out of batteries before you have even begun your work. Not with the Toshiba NB205 though, you’ll have a whopping 8.5 hour battery life! That’s an eternity considering the many features that this cute little package has. Based on the Intel Atom (1.66GHz) processor, this mini netbook has 1GB of RAM (expandable to 2GB), a 160GB hard drive, and a 10.1″ monitor. The keyboard and trackpad are also enlarged to accommodate even the manliest of fingers. Even more attractive than the great battery life is the design of the chassis, with a silver finish and a variety of lid colors if you prefer the non-black and boring netbooks. $400.

The Tosh forums posted a link to a sound driver that a user says solved these issues. I’d be curious to know if anyone has tried it. It was the one factor that
made me not purchase. Otherwise I really like this machine.
