It seems like every album John Mayer puts out is better and more soulful than the last, and that’s saying a lot because the hipster-esque Blues guitarist came out smokin’ hot a few years ago. Now hear his best stuff live on his new live performance LP Where The Light Is: John Mayer Live in Los Angeles. “Where the light is” is, of course, a lyric from his hit song “Gravity” from his Continuum album. How much more soulful can it get than a live album, especially from a babyfaced white boy? We think maybe plundering Jessica Simpson for a couple years got John’s creative juices flowing. mayer is awesome! I love his sound, and the guy has skills, not just in music! I also recommend the artists on The Hotel Tour kind of similar but also soulful.
